Mexican fest honors 'Retouch'

Iranian short film 'Retouch' has succeeded to receive Best Film Award from the 4th edition of the Veracruz Short Film Festival in Mexico.

The award was presented to Keveh Mazaheri, the director of the flick, by the jury members of the Mexican film event.

Produced by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, ‘Retouch’ is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.

The cast members of the award winning film are Mohammad-Hossein Ziksari, Hana Fouladi-Fard, Azadeh Abadpour, Siamak Farsi, Negin Ahmadi and Shirin Harati.

The film has so far participated in many international film festivals, winning several awards and nominations including the Best Fiction Short Film award at the 13th Traverse City Film Festival in the US.

The Veracruz Short Film Festival has the objective of attracting and creating public awareness through the projection and exchange of cinematographic proposals that encourage dialogue, discussion and debate.

The 2018 edition of the Mexican event was held on August 23-26, 2018.
